Every year since 1997, finalists at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) have had the opportunity to submit questions and attend a panel presentation by Nobel Laureates, and Intel ISEF 2013 was no exception.
Denise Gordon, a 2012 SSP Fellow, teaches science at the Applied Learning Academy (ALA) in Fort Worth, Texas. Her research program introduces students from both her class and the International Newcomer Academy (INA) to data collection and hands-on research.
Jack Andraka was the Gordon E. Moore award winner at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) 2012 for his project on early detection of pancreatic cancer. Jack was also a 2011 Broadcom MASTERS semifinalist. Since his win, Jack has had the opportunity to participate in TED talks, attended the State of the Union, and the White House Science Fair.
