The U.S. Science & Engineering Festival Brings Science to the Capitol

The first U.S. Science & Engineering Festival occurred in Washington over the last two weeks, October 11-24, with contests, such as “You can do the Rubik’s Cube;” seminars, such as “The Science of Maintaining a healthy Weight;” and other programs.  Nobel Laureates, including SSP’s previous board chair Dudley Herschbach, participated in Lunches with Laureates where middle and high school students were able to engage in discussions with these prominent scientists.

SSP President Discusses Innovation Imperative Overseas

SSP President Elizabeth Marincola recently spoke at the Education Innovation Summit sponsored by Intel China Ltd and held at Tsinghua University in China. The purpose of the summit was to provide a platform for connecting global perspectives with China’s practices, and discussing the best ways to we can collaborate to cultivate innovative talent.
